From May 5th through May 14th we will have the Cinco de Mayo Celebration.
Saturday May 7th at 2:00 PM free workshops by Ollimpaxqui Ballet Danza de Fuego Mexica and teacher Mercedes will teach a Veracruz workshop.
May 14 will end up with workshops and presentations in Old Settlers Recreation Center of McKinney from 4 PM until 9 PM
Ollimpaxqui Ballet Co, Inc. a non-profit organizations based in Dallas and Austin. We will be host for the first International Dance Teachers Folklorico Mexican Dance Congress in April — May 2016
We will have workshops demonstration, conferences, and dance performances for the dance teachers and general audiences for 10 days. All events are free!
For general audiences
The purpose of the XIX Biannual National Teachers Congress is to present a family-oriented cultural and educational performing arts program that connects Hispanic, Indigenous, dance workshops, performance to folkloric communities throughout Mexico, USA and Canada by celebrating a unique combination of cultures and its relationship to history and the world at large.

Present three (2) 50-minute performances in the tradition of Folklórico dance and showcasing the customs of Mexico, Central and South America. The first performance takes place at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreations Center for their seniors Cinco de Mayo celebration. They will also do a Cinco de Mayo performance at Timberglen Recreation Center. In August they will return to the Multipurpose Center to perform in their Wellness Expo.
